I am putting myself right in front of a firing squad with this entry but I find it an extremely interesting and thought provoking subject.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN PSYCHICS?
We have all heard about them, we have seen them advertised on TV and the magazines. There are hotlines for them, you can find them at fairs, in shops, working out of their homes and of course, they are guests on TV shows.
I have visited a local psychic about 3 times. I first heard about her when a co-worker of mine went to her. My friend took off her wedding ring and did not tell her any more than her name and the first name of her husband and her 3 daughters. The psychic gave her a general list of her health and then asked if my friend (let's call her "J") had any questions.
J asked the usual about how her marriage was doing, how her job and her husband's job were going, if the finances would be stable and finally about the 3 daughters. How would they do in school, marriage, grand children and so on.
This particular psychic asked you to bring a cassette so she can record the session for you. She gives you so much information, you can't take it all in. When you listen to it later; it is amazing how much she tells you.
That night, the psychic called J. at home. She told her she never calls customers but she had J. on her mind and wanted to tell her that J's husband had been cheating on her for months with a friend and was going to ask for a divorce. Well, you can imagine how J. reacted. When she came to work, she told me about it. She didn't want to believe it but she was curious. That day she went home for lunch as she always did and her husband was there.
He told her he was leaving, he had been having an affair with a person they both knew from a club they belonged to. He said he was sorry but he didn't love J. any more. They did get a divorce but have remained friends and both are involved in their daughters lives. By the way, he did not marry the other woman.
After J.s first visit, I decided it might be fun to go. So,my sister and I went.
We also took off our rings and each were seen separately. We did the same things; we took a cassette, we got a general health reading and asked questions about our children, our sibings etc. I was told that I needed to have my throat checked and that I had trouble with my right ankle. Both were true, my ankle had occasionally given out and I would fall down. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid (it doesn't work as it should) and take a small pill every day.
I asked about my son who was a junior in high school. The psychic said he would graduate and go away for a period of time. He would come back home. He would meet a woman and be with her for a period of time but she wasn't sure if they would stay together. She saw two beautiful children in the picture but she wasn't sure they were his children. She said he would find a career he would like, etc.
He did join the Air Force right out of high school, went to Texas for Boot Camp but the heat was hard on him and he was given a medical release and sent home. He met a woman who had been going through a divorce for several months and....you guessed it...she had 2 daughters, aged 3 and 7. They fell in love but just couldn't seem to find the right time to get married or be in the same mood. They split up. He compared every other woman he met to her. Finally a few years later, they were reunited and got married.... He did a variety of jobs and finally found a career he enjoys. He is a dispatcher for the police and fire department in our area.
I went back to the psychic a couple more times with questions about my career and my siblings. I mentioned one sister ("M") who was the youngest and was married. The psychic said M was going to get a divorce and it would be M's idea. I couldn't believe that....not at all....no way...no sir. .
Several years later, M did get a divorce about a year after they moved to Texas (which she had planned so she could get a job to support herself and their two children). She told me that the marriage had never been happy and she had made a huge mistake.
I asked the psychic about a sister ("G") who had withdrawn from our family.
She said the husband was a real jerk, controlled G and that G put up with it because she didn't know what else to do and that she would be ok, just not as happy as she would be if she had a relationship with her own family.
About 13 years ago, our mother died. I contacted G and she did come home for the funeral. We 4 sisters were reunited and had a wonderful couple of days but as soon as G's husband showed up after the funeral.
..G told us she would be assuming a different persona to be the proper doctor's wife. It was like seeing an impersonator take on the facial expressions of another person. G became that person and they left. But while she was with us; she said she was not happy but she was content and couldn't leave because she didn't know how to live alone and didn't think she would be able to support herself even if she could get away from him. She said because he was a doctor, she had been told he would get her locked in a mental hospital and she would never get released.
The psychic had also told me that my job was sucking the life out of me...which I knew and we discussed that for some time. I haven't been back to her for several years.
My sister "B" who originally went with me saw the psychic several times about her marriage and problems and finally made the decision for the second time to leave her husband and get a divorce and try to start over elsewhere. Since then, B had been looking for a job without much luck.
When I went to Texas to visit my two sisters,...we all went to see a psychic there. My two sisters had seen her before and were interested in what she had to say. When we all went; she told B that she should not give up and return to her husband because there was a great job waiting for her in Texas and she needed to keep looking. B did stay and was hired about 2 weeks ago to be the Adoption Manager for the Humane Society in Texas.
This is a job that she has dreamed about for years....
My other sister M was told that she has some psychic abilities and she should use Tarot cards and practice and then she may be able to just visualize what a person needs. M has practiced and has been able to guide B towards her job. She took her to the Humane Society one Saturday in a small town just because she had a feeling about it. That location directed B to the one where B was hired 4 days later.
So....back to my subject.
Psychics....DO YOU BELIEVE OR NOT?
One of the most famous is SYLVIA BROWNE. You may have seen her on Montel Williams TV show. She has written several books and has her own website. Whether or not you believe in this way of thinking, you might find some of her books very interesting.
Sylvia Says:
� We visit the Other Side at least three times a week when we're asleep.
� Science fiction writers are actually infusing and pulling their ideas from another time period.
� Every great idea you have isn't yours. It's your [spirit] guide who's sending you messages all the time.
� People with the same spiritual beliefs will continue to come together. You're never alone.
� Nightmares are normal, as they are a way to release negativity.
� In 2006, the East Coast is going to get slammed and slammed again [with tumultuous weather conditions].
� The way of all peace is to scale the mountain of self. Loving others makes the climb down easier.
In her book, INSIGHT, Sylvia talks about THE OTHER SIDE which is her interpretation of heaven. it is about three feet above our ground in another dimension. There is a tunnel at about a 30 degree angle and when our spirit leaves our body, it slips into the white light and goes to THE OTHER SIDE in most cases**.
It has several buildings of white marble and these are the HALLS OF RECORDS. This contains every life chart and all things written, found, discovered, produced etc.
There is a building for AKASHIC RECORDS. which contain all the thoughts, words and actions in the creation of the universe including all vibrations, major events and accidental events.
Sylvia says that THE OTHER SIDE contains all our loves ones and our pets and all our past lives contacts. She believe our "charts" were written there by our spirit and we have chosen our paths for every "life" we have. Once we have passed through our life one time; we do not have to come back again. Most want to return to either try to gain skill in an area that we lacked or try to continue to do good for others for another life time. We have 5 EXITS through our life on earth and can choose to go back to THE OTHER SIDE whenever one of those exits comes along. If we choose to remain on earth, we will.
We also write in our options and have free will to change our course when we wish. She believes that no matter how well your life is going, there will be one of the options that always causes you trouble.
The options are: Health, Spirituality, Love relationships, Social life,Finance, Career or Family.
She also talked about spirit guides, ghosts, dark entities. ** If there is a person who has no redeeming qualitities, is harmful just for the pleasure of it, and can't have any reason for living any other way; this is a dark entity and when they leave; they go to the LEFT DOOR. This is where they stay, faceless, in a dark cloak just packed in and wandering around. She believes that the OTHER SIDE does try to redeem them for another try at life and sometimes, they do have another chance.
This is just a brief description of the book and Sylvia Browne's beliefs.
