WARNING------MCDONALDS BALL PIT. THINK TWICE ABOUT LETTING YOUR LOVE ONES PLAY IN THESE PLACES, NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY CRY...POUT...IT'S ALL ABOUT SAFETY.......
Some of you might not be parents, but you may have nieces, nephews, or grandchildren that this will pertain to. As I read the following, my heart sank. I urge each and every one of you to pass this on to as many people as you can. I cannot stress how important this is! This is very disturbing news. In addition to the following true story, I will also add that my own sons were playing in the ball pit at Discovery Zone one day. Our son lost his watch, and was very upset. We dug and dug in those balls, trying to find the watch. Instead, we found vomit, food, feces, and other stuff I do not want to discuss. I went to the manager and raised heck. Come to find out, the ball pit is only "cleaned out once a month." I have doubts that it is even done that often. My kids will never play in another ball pit.

Now read this: "Hi. My name is Lauren Archer.
My son Kevin and I lived in Sugarland, Texas. On October 2, 1994, I took
my only son to McDonald's for his birthday. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started crying later, I asked him what was wrong. He pointed to his back and said, 'Mommy, it hurts.' I looked, but couldn't find anything wrong with him at the time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point that I found a welt on
his left buttock. Upon investigation, it seemed as if there was splinter under the welt. I made a doctor appointment for the next day to have it removed. In the meantime, he started vomiting and shaking. Then, his eyes rolled back in his head.
We immediately went to the emergency room! My only son died later that night. It turned out that the welt on his buttock was the tip of a hypodermic needle that had broken off in his skin. The autopsy revealed that Kevin had died from a heroine overdose. The next day, the police removed the balls from the ball pit and found rotten food, half-eaten candy, diapers, feces, the stench of urine, and several hypodermic needles."
(If you question the validity of this story, you can find the article on Kevin Archer in the October 10, 1994 issue of the Houston Chronicle.)

Please forward this! To all loving mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Note: Some children have also gotten lice from ball pits.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths taken, but by the moments that take our breath away.

PLEASE SEND THIS TO ANYONE YOU KNOW WHO HAS SMALL CHILDREN,
NIECES,NEPHEWS,OR GRANDCHILDREN!

Presbyterians : None

Unitarians :
We choose not to make a statement either in favor of or against the need for a light bulb. However, if in your own journey you have found that light bulbs work for you, you are invited to write a poem or compose a modern dance about your light bulb for the next Sunday service, in which we will explore a number of light bulb traditions, including incandescent, fluorescent, 3-way, long-life and tinted, all of which are equally valid paths to luminescence.

Methodists : Undetermined
Whether your light is bright, dull, or completely out, you are loved. You can be a light bulb, turnip bulb, or tulip bulb. Bring a bulb of your choice to the Sunday lighting service and a covered dish to pass.

Nazarene : 6
One woman to replace the bulb while five men review church lighting policy.

Lutherans: None
Lutherans don't believe in change.

Amish :
What's a light bulb?

######### A TALE OF TWO....

She had done it before, many times. She always said she could resist but nevertheless, she usually failed.

It all started a very long time ago, when she was a child. She saw it and she wanted it. The man said she could have it. So she took it home but her parents got rid of it when she was at school one day.

Then, years went by and after she got married, her husband said she could have it again. She got it but it just didn't turn out the way she remembered so she gave it away.

The next time was when she had a young child of her own. She got it again and this time, it was everything she had imagined and remembered from the first time. She loved it so much.

She thought she could just have one but a few more years when by and then she wanted another. This one was even bigger and it worked. She was so thrilled to have 2 to choose from. This time she was sure she didn't need any more.

But again, her husband suggested they drive down the road, out in the country, and when they did; they found 2 more that they wanted for themselves. Neither of these worked out.

When she was very sure this time that she didn't want any more, her friend came over and put it into her hand. How could she resist? It was so perfect, she knew she would love it.

After a few months, the last one was gone, she looked everywhere but she couldn't find it anymore. She felt extremely sad.

They moved back into town. They still had two. But one day, they were out in the country and found one. No one wanted to claim it or keep it. They decided they would take it home.

Now the first was gone but they still had the second one but it didn't appear that it was going to last very much longer. Her husband found one but he didn't think they should bring it home. They talked about it and agreed that they had to stop. The second one was getting weaker. The husband brought another one home. It really bit her hard. She didn't think it was going to work but she couldn't give it up because her husband said it was his favorite one.

One day they were out doing errands and found some other places that had it. They made a rash decision and took one home. This one blew her mind. She couldn't figure it out. It really messed with her mind and finally she realized she just couldn't handle it anymore so she gave it away.

So they were back to two again. This seemed to work out best for them. Then one of them was getting weak again. What to do, what to do. They decided they would find another so when one was gone, they still had two. But the one weak one was gone before they expected.

They searched all over town and finally found a small one and took it home. Now they were complete again with two. This was it. No more, no sir. But....they saw some again and
couldn't decide what to do. They talked about it. They talked about how much better off they were with only two. If they had to have it, two was enough. but....maybe....they could. go. look. again...... J-u-s-t....t-o.... l-o-o-k, that's all

They did look but said "No, we can't handle it. It will cause us trouble." "We know better" "We have tried this before and it might not work out." "We. Know. Better."

Then they got a phone call, the supplier had more. They could go look and decide...they could. just. look. But, could they?

Sooooooo. they are going to look today....and make the decision........
will they or won't they
