Someone is in trouble!
Sunday,

The Excrement Hit the Rotating Oscillator Yesterday.

That's right, kids.. RH (retired husband) wasn't in a good mood. The disarray of the kitchen and bathrooms and guest room is getting to him. Not to mention that the company that is supposed to be making the counter tops has not been responding to our Depot of Home salesman.

I think there is going to be showdown on Monday or maybe even.......

a lot of nasty words exchanged....

We had to pay upfront for all this work and it has been nearly 3 weeks and nothing has been done. We sure don't blame our salesman because he is as frustrated as we are. But, Monday, the company will be talking to our salesman and RH and it is NOT going to be pretty!

RH has finished up the outside decorations. He is already turning the lights on every night. One other neighbor also put up decorations and has been lighting them too,.

Yes, this imitation of Las Vegas is our house!

Ok, back to the work RH has been doing. The following show the kitchen and bathrooms in various stages of work.

This is obviously the kitchen sink with the backsplash of tiles still in place.

This is the counter with the "appliance garage" on the left side. Note the tiles were being removed on the right side.

This shows where RH has cut off an inch from the bottom of the appliance garage as suggested by the countertop people. That way, they can slide the new counter top under the "garage" and put a back splash on the cut sides of the "garage" to cover the edges.

This is a closer look at the countertop and back splash.

Here is the guest room filled with the stuff from the kitchen countertops and the bathroom. And finally, here is the regular bathroom with the backsplash off the wall and the big mirror removed. It is such a strange feeling to walk into the room and look at the white wall with no mirror to reflect your image. Also, please note that the builder didn't wallpaper behind the huge mirror. Fortunately they did wallpaper about 4 inches up so when we put the mirror back....there will be wallpaper at the bottom edge.

Can you see those lumps under the bedspread? I had just made the bed with clean sheets... Guess what is under neath? This is Samurai who is known as SAM. Check out that I had just vacuumed the living room and Sam needed to stretch out right in the middle of it.

This is Callie. She was the other cat under the comforter on our bed. Sorry about the scary, reflective eyes!

and I might as well post a picture of all three of our cats. >

The charcoal grey longhaired cat in the middle is the oldest. Her name is Dakota.

More excitement tomorrow, I am sure!
