RUT ROH!
and RUT ROH! again......last Friday, my husband and I did a naughty thing.
It all started out very innocently. It was Friday. It was overcast and heavy rain was predicted for the day. My husband had the day off. He had already mowed and edged the lawn. He was .....oh yeah...he was.....looking for something to do to fill up the time....he was restless.....he was bored!
He asked me what to do. He wanted me to give him a fun-filled activity and so......Ok, let's be honest here. We both knew what we really wanted...
We wanted to gamble!
So we jumped into our truck and took off for Michigan City Blue Chip Casino. It would be our second visit there and we wanted to see if the rumor that it paid off often was true. So off we went!
Besides, we were still doing our in-depth study on the various themes of slot machines and we had more research to conduct. Yeah!....that's it....research. We wanted to do something important for the rest of the population and besides....we might hit the jackpot!
Yeah...the jackpot!!!
So, I had about $50 in small bills and husband had about $40. He started out on one of his favorites, the Kenny Rogers theme and was fairly consistent, winning back enough to keep his original $5.00 in the machine. I went to a oriental theme called Fortune Cookie. I had not won on it previously. I put in my $5.00 and after a few bets, I hit the bonus round. I had a menu of various chinese dishes and made my choice. Then the value of the dishes was revealed and I won xxx credits. I played the machine for a few more minutes and won the bonus round again. Of course, it didn't take long before my $5.00 was gone.
I wandered around, playing some other machines. I found my husband playing one with a theme of antiques and he was about half way though his $5.00. I picked one with a deli theme. I hit a bonus round but when I tried to make my choices by touching the screen on the deli dishes I wanted, the screen would not move. Finally I managed to get some choices made but my total credits were very low. I quickly left that machine.
After about 2 hours, my husband was doing well. He had cashed out several tickets and was about $30 ahead. I was not winning. I was down to my last $13. He offered to get us a couple of diet soda drinks.
As soon as he left, I sat down in front of another machine which had a princess and the pea theme. It played up to 100 lines at one time. I selected 50 lines and put in my $5.00. After I was down to $2.50, I hit the bonus round. I don't know what happened....the bonus was several free rolls and almost every time it rolled, I got another bonus. By the time it was done, I had over 5500 credits. When I cashed out, I had $111.00!!. It was a penny slot machine but somewhere I had gotten a double magnifier! I was so happy!!!!!. I cashed out the ticket and put $50 away for the next time we go gambling. Because you know, THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME!
I played the rest of our time on the remainder of my winnings. I never did that well again but once was just enough....for that day.
We left after about 4 hours and had a nice drive home.
On Sunday, my husband told me he was bored and he had that look in his eye. I told him it would be wrong to go gamble another day in the same weekend. I wanted to say Yes but I knew it could easily get out of hand. It could quickly become addictive and so I said NO.
He went downstairs and watched some movies on TV and I read an entire book in one afternoon...and it didn't cost us any money at all!.
