Hello, we are still on vacation. We spent about a week in Texas. We spent so many days covering nearly all the parts of Texas except the NORTH. Then we moved on to New Mexico and continued to Rye, Colorado.

My sister in law and brother in law live there. We had a great weekend with them. We went to the Flying W ranch, There are several shops and we went for the Chuck Wagon dinner and then we watched a Western singing group.

The food is served chuck wagon style. You get a choice of meat, beef, chicken, or steak, baked potato, biscuits, beans, apple sauce, coffee, tea or lemonade and a small piece of cake. You get in line by sections and the entire section has filled their plate and returned to their table within 22 minutes.

We also revisited Bishop's castle. The story is that he bought a huge piece of property and then wanted to build on it when the Government told him he had to pay taxes and conform to their demands, He got angry and studied up on law and found out as long as he was a non profit organization and the building was under construction; he did not have to pay taxes, Of course, the Government thought that once he was done, the property would be more valuable and let him get started, He has built the castle entirely by himself. He will take donations, you can tour the castle. We have been there 3 times., He has completed the castle but since he is a non profit; he is now building a moat, outbuildings, an entry building...he does not ever intend to complete the location and does not intend to pay any taxes, He can quote all types of law and is fascinating to listen to... It is sure worth a visit if you are in the area,

We also took the train ride at Royal Gorge, We had lunch on the train which was so delicious.

The weather was incredible and the temperature was just wonderful.

We left Rye, Co, this morning, it was overcast, misty and about 34 degrees. When we stopped tonight at Salina, Kansas...it was warmer,

We are stopping in St Louis, MO on Wednesday to see Grant's Farm to see the Clydesdales.

Then we will be home on Thursday.

I am looking forward to getting home, to sleep in my own bed, sit on my comfortable furniture and have a peanut butter sandwich.
