Oh Happy Day
Time it takes to look for it, find it, try for it, get discouraged, be disappointed, try all over and keep on dreaming: over 50 weeks...
Cost of dreaming, seeking, finding, offering, negotiating and financing: over $90,000....
Successful achievement of first home for Son, Daughter-in-law and two step granddaughters....priceless
Today was the big day. Son & DIL bought their first house together. They took possession about 2:30 P.M. and are now in the midst of painting bedrooms. They plan to move in next Wednesday. They are very excited to start their new life in their own home. They have lots of plans and plenty of work to do inside and out. It should make for a great home for them all. It has 3 bedrooms on the main level with a bath, living room and eat in kitchen. The basement is nearly all finished off, with a family room, an area Son is going to use for his computer area, another bedroom, a small bath with a shower, laundry area and lots of storage. They also have a large 1 car garage attached and a shed in the backyard along with a large deck. The house needs some TLC but it will take on their character in a few weeks once they have moved in and made it their own. The house is sided in a light brownish shade with dark red shutters
We are already looking forward to some happy times together at their house.
I couldn't sleep thinking about the house so that is why I am up now typing this journal entry.
